About Us: Love Aloha Eye Care is a, full-scope medical optometry practice nestled in the heart of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Founded and owned by a female optometrist in 2022, our boutique clinic is known for its commitment to exceptional patient care and luxurious experience.

Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate fill-in doctor to provide coverage during the owner’s maternity leave. With a due date in mid-May 2024, we’re looking for coverage ranging from 4 to 16 weeks, offering flexibility based on your availability. This could lead to a full time position if you are interested in staying on. We are a rapidly growing clinic; if you find this fill in position is a good fit for you there is an opportunity for long term employment. Try it before you buy it. 

Responsibilities: The role entails managing a manageable patient load of 1-2 patients per hour, delivering top-notch care, and upholding our commitment to quality service. Our office stresses the importance of work life balance being open 4.5 days a week so you have time to work and play during your stay in Hawaii. We try to take our time with patients and not rush through the day, you will not be seeing 4+ exams an hour. Consider this unique opportunity for work and leisure in Hawaii.

Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted state optometry license.
• 3+ years of experience in medical optometry 
• Ability to provide exceptional care and maintain the clinic’s high standards. Being in rural Hawaii we see a vast scope of patients; emergency visits, surgical co management, specialty contact lenses, pediatrics and primary care.
