Job Description

Join our new beautifully designed office in a well-established community-oriented private practice in Albany, CA. on a full or part-time basis (Mon-Sat).

We are seeking a skilled and personable Optometrist interested in developing a lasting relationship with our community.   Our practice has been a part of the Albany/Berkeley community for nearly 40 years and we take pride in being there throughout our patients’ lives. We serve our patients vision and eye-health needs with a customer-first approach, understanding that we are in the business of long-term eye care.   Our healthcare is second to none, and our optical boutique is full of high quality independent lines so our patients always get the best service and products.   We also offer the latest FDA approved IPL therapy to address the dry eye needs of our community. We offer a highly competitive compensation structure and benefits package.  

Qualifications:

  • CA. O.D. license with TLG certification, prefer 2+ year experience and/or residency
  • Ability to fit specialty CL’s (orthoK, scleral, GP)
  • Ability to diagnose, treat and manage anterior and posterior segment conditions
  • Excellent “chair-side” demeanor
  • Available to work 2 Saturdays/ month 
  • Ability to co-manage refractive surgery and cataract patients
  • Familiarity with EHR
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail

Compensation:

  • $450-550 base per diem depending on experience + quarterly bonus based on production
