Job Description

Our practice is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled associate Doctor of Optometry to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. We are passionate about delivering high-quality optometric care to our patients, and we are looking for an OD who shares our vision and values.

This position is an excellent opportunity for experienced doctors or new graduates.

We offer a very competitive salary and benefits package, along with ample opportunities for professional growth and development.

As an associate OD in our practice, you will have the opportunity to practice a full scope of optometry and see a diverse range of patients with both refractive and medical needs. We have several locations at Target Opticals in the Denver area, providing you with the flexibility to work at different locations.

Our ideal candidate would be a hard-working, personable, and compassionate optometrist who has excellent clinical skills and a genuine passion for helping patients achieve optimal eye health. We pride ourselves on our exceptional team and work environment, and we believe in treating our patients as family.

As an optometrist in our practice, you will have a range of responsibilities that will allow you to utilize your skills and expertise to deliver exceptional patient care,  including:

  • Conducting routine and medical eye exams:  performing comprehensive eye exams on patients of all ages to assess their visual acuity, refractive error, and overall ocular health. You will be diagnosing and managing a variety of ocular conditions.
  • Practicing to the full scope of optometry license in the State of Colorado: You will be expected to practice in accordance with the regulations and guidelines established by the Colorado State Board of Optometry.
  • Recommending appropriate patient follow-up care options: You will provide patients with advice and recommendations on appropriate follow-up care options, including treatment plans, referrals to other healthcare providers, and prescription of corrective lenses or medications.
  • Answering questions and providing advice to patients regarding vision obstacles, addressing any questions or concerns that patients may have regarding their vision or ocular health, and providing advice on how to manage and prevent vision obstacles.
  • Delivering outstanding customer service through all patient interactions: You will provide a welcoming and supportive environment for patients, and ensure that they receive the highest standard of care and customer service throughout their visit.
  • Assisting in the development of the overall practice: You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and growth of the practice, by participating in practice meetings, training sessions, and other initiatives aimed at improving the quality of care we provide to our patients.

We are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our optometrists, and as such, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Productivity Bonus Pay: We recognize and reward hard work and exceptional performance with a productivity bonus pay that is directly tied to the amount of revenue generated by the practice.

Competitive compensation: We offer a very competitive salary that is commensurate with experience, skills, and expertise.

Health Insurance: We offer Medical Health Insurance coverage to our full-time employees.

Two-week PTO: We believe that a work-life balance is essential, and we offer two weeks of paid time off to all our optometrists to use for vacation, personal time, or sick leave.

Ongoing training and Continuing Education Opportunities paid by the employer: We are committed to the professional development of our optometrists and offer ongoing training and continuing education opportunities, with the employer covering the costs.

Scheduling flexibility: We understand that work schedules need to be flexible, and we offer scheduling flexibility, as long as it is determined in advance and does not affect the quality of patient care.

OneSight Missions around the globe on a voluntary basis once a year: We are passionate about giving back to our global community and offer our optometrists the opportunity to participate in OneSight missions around the world on a voluntary basis once a year. These missions provide free eye exams and glasses to underserved communities in need around the world.

We believe that our comprehensive benefits package reflects our commitment to creating a supportive and rewarding work environment for our optometrists. If you share our passion for delivering exceptional patient care and are looking for an opportunity to grow your career, we encourage you to apply to our practice.
