Job Description

New Kent Eye Care is a private practice that opened for business in 2019.  As an Associate Optometrist of the Practice, you can enjoy being an optometrist without the worries of running a business.  New Kent Eye Care will do all the insurance billing, credentialing, staff hiring & training.

 

Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

We are searching for an enthusiastic doctor to join our practice 1-3 days a week! You’ll use your skills to provide high-quality care to our patients. Duties include:

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams
  • Diagnose and treat ocular disease-with the assistance of OCT, Visual Field, Topography, Pachymetry, Amniotic membranes.
  • Prescribe Glasses and Contacts
  • Provide Co-management care to surgical patients
  • Promote healthy and preventive eye care by counseling and educating patients

 

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree
  • Current Virginia TPA license to practice optometry
